Mino, Japan — 1,300 years of ceramic culture. Our tiles begin with Mino's rich raw materials: local specialists prepare and blend the earth, while we explore the character of each clay. Different clays give the same glaze a different expression — white, gray, black and dento-yu bodies.
金型と乾式プレスがかたちをつくる。
Metal moulds and dry pressing give each piece its shape and relief. Our presses run at 600, 300 and 150 tonnes — the higher the tonnage, the greater the volume in a single run. Different shapes, shared edges, new rhythms: squares, doubles, halves and strips that match at the joint.
釉薬の種類と掛け方が表情を決める。
Glaze type and application shape the surface: glossy, matte, metallic, crystalline, soft gradation, double application, stone-like texture. We keep 144 glazes in 17 groups — combinations we keep, not the limit of what the kiln can do.
トンネル窯で24時間。位置による熱の差が窯変を生む。
Each tile passes through a 24-hour firing cycle in our tunnel kiln. Heat varies by position, giving the same glaze different expressions: yohen.

Soft coastal colors and reliefs inspired by a calm sea at daybreak.
夜明けの凪いだ海に着想を得た、柔らかな海辺の色とレリーフ。
Pale aqua, sand and deep teal combine flat and relief pieces in the same color, allowing the pattern to emerge through light and shadow rather than contrast.
Hammer marks shaping light across a dark metallic surface.
暗い金属面に光をつくる、鎚の痕。
Black iron, gunmetal, blue-gray and muted bronze glazes use irregular reliefs to evoke the shifting reflections of hammered metal.
A fine white shimmer, like the season's first frost.
季節最初の霜を思わせる、細かな白の煌めき。
Fine white flecks gather toward the edges of each tile across deep navy, olive and pale cream glazes, recalling the moment cold first becomes visible.
The quiet colors of a field after the grasses have withered.
草が枯れたあとの野に広がる、静かな色。
Warm tan, rust brown and muted sage alternate in horizontal courses of unequal height, recalling a winter field after dense grasses have faded.
Layers of autumn color, deepening from amber to russet and brown.
琥珀色から赤褐色、焦茶へ深まる、秋の色の層。
Bands of russet, ivory and deep brown hold subtle traces of green, capturing autumn at its fullest before winter.
Soft white surfaces inspired by daylight passing through Japanese washi paper.
和紙を通る光から生まれた、柔らかな白。
Cool white and warm ecru glazes with fine crazing recall the visible fibers and diffused light of a shoji screen.
A spectrum of colors inspired by fluorite's natural variation.
蛍石の自然な色の変化に着想を得た、多彩な色の広がり。
White, indigo, mustard, slate blue, near-black and dark red glazes share a finely mottled surface, echoing the many colors fluorite reveals through subtle internal changes.
The shimmer of a lively shore revealed at low tide.
潮の引いた浜にきらめく、汐の華。
White glints with shifting cinnamon, blue-violet gray and sand tones recall wet tidal flats, shell reflections and the lively spring scene of clam gathering.
Soft gradations of white, terracotta and green, inspired by the depth of a Japanese garden.
日本庭園の奥行きに着想を得た、白、テラコッタ、緑の柔らかなぼかし。
Each tile fades between a darker rim and a lighter center, creating soft boundaries that recall the layered views of a roji, the garden path leading to a tea room.
Bands of warm white inspired by Japan's traditional earthen walls.
日本の伝統的な土塀に着想を得た、温かな白の帯。
Warm white bands repeat through coarse and fine joint rhythms, punctuated by a single gold-brown stripe that recalls an earthen wall built, repaired and preserved over time.
The deep, light-absorbing green of moss in shade.
木陰に広がる、光を吸う苔の深い緑。
A deep olive matt glaze suppresses reflection, while subtle tonal variation recalls moss quietly established across shaded stone and forest ground.
